Quite good with supreme intensity, pure fruit and good structure. Touches of minerals on the finish. A good wine at no mistake but I'm not ready to nice its worth the hefty price tag.
Very nice, elegant bottle. Needs a bit to open up but very nice notes of fresh cherry and blackberry. The structure of this bottle is silky smooth.

Dark fruit and sage with notes of mineral and currant....Supple tannins feed a long, structured finish. Enjoyed with herb braised lamb. Outstanding!
This is among our favorite cabs. We discovered it when a restaurant didn't have the wine we ordered, and the sommelier suggested this. I'm glad he did - this became an instant favorite.
An amazing, big-full-fruit Cab.

90 points - Wine Enthusiast "Young now, marked by hard tannins that accentuate the acidity,. The flavors are forward and jammy, suggesting blackberries, cherries, orange zest and sweet, smoky cedar wood. Rough-hewn now, with an angular feeling, but should develop softness and roundness after 2012." (03/10) From the winery "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is big and lush with huge gobs of fruit in the aroma and flavor. The texture of the wine is soft and supple, typical of Cabernet Sauvignons grown in our area of the Oakville AVA. Patience during bottle aging will reward the steward with an outstanding bottle over the next 10 to 15 years."
All of the Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Reserve block here at the home ranch. In these vineyards, the grapes are pre-veraison cluster thinning followed by two post-veraison cluster thinnings. Once harvested the grape clusters are hand sorted and de-stemmed without crushing. The berries then go through a second sort to make sure only the best goes into the fermenters. A dedicated, gravity-flow, dual-level barrel cellar was built for the Reserve Cabernet. The wine was aged for 24 months, in 100% new French oak barrels and blended with 14% Merlot from our Oakville Estate vineyard. The 2006 Reserve Cabernet shows the intrinsic black stone fruit nuances and the soft tannin structure that define our Oakville, Napa Valley-floor Cabernet. The wine has been bottled as is no fining or filtration needed!
