Grizzly Republic Gypsy Noir Paso Robles 2008

Member Review by Amanda Schuster:

Very deep, concentrated (my tasting note says, "deep ass berry") flavors, with some bright acidity and cocoa. Think chocolate covered sour cherries. A bit of vanilla also. Very fun. Can see this being a terrific BBQ or burger wine.

GRIZZLY REPUBLIC:
The vineyards are selected not by where they are, but what is planted in the soil. Harvesting decisions are the critical component of winemaking; each vineyard block is monitored; with each varietal having been chosen from specific terroir for a purpose. We select vineyards all across California and strive to achieve a sustainable harvest with each of our vignerons.

A smokey Pinot with some bacony flavors.
