Strawberry, violets, melon and raspberry on the nose, creamy, oaky palette with notes of lemon and pomegranate, spicy, citrusy finish with notes of cherry. very quaffable.
A surprisingly good Sangiovese for how little I paid for it ($3.99 at Trader Joe's). Oaky, smooth, fruity, little to no acidity once you let it open up. Kept for a week well after opening. Served with a chicken marinara, and will definitely come back to this for other tomato-based dishes. Good for both cooking and drinking, and I would serve this to guests.
