Tasting Notes: The 2005 Grgich cab comes from these carefully tended vines, predominantly from Yountville, though some Rutherford and Calistoga fruit balances out the blend. The little bottle packs a lot of class, with anise, black plum and currant fruit with a spike of peppery spice on the finish. Acid, fruit and tannin are all in harmony here.

Winemaker Notes - This is a is a dark, muscular wine with intriguing aromas of licorice, cedar and blackberries with a hint of earthy truffles. Wonderfully drinkable upon release, the wine?s firm tannin structure promises it will benefit from aging.

Remind in 2015 to track down a bottle to drink.
After a last minute change to dine in rather than dine out, we picked this up to drink.

The tannins are awesome and the vanilla and berry smooth flavors are quite tasty.

Buy a bottle and wait as long as you can to drink ;)
