A wine that offers a tight, focused beam of loamy earth, dried dark berry, cedar, anise and espresso. Features good length, with gripping tannins. Shows Grgich Hills at the top of its Cabernet game. Best from 2015 through 2026. 14,290 cases made. -JL The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Yountville Selection (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) reveals sexy, open-knit, meaty, charcuterie and black currant aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, abundant fruit, complexity and finesse, it is hard to resist at present, and should continue to evolve for 10-15 years. This valley-wide blend comes from Yountville, Calistoga and Rutherford. It combines the best fruit of the appellations, resulting in a dry, full-bodied and tannic young wine, with classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon flavors of cassis. Beautiful now, after a few hours of decanting, and should hold in the bottle for at least eight years. - S.H.

Grgich Hills Cabernet is produced from certified organic wine grapes, not an easy certification to obtain we can assure you. The 2009 Cabernet stays true to varietal character and has a healthy dose of tannic structure.

Licorice sets the tone and makes for a dry entry, headed up by roasted coffee beans and a meaty intensity. A power-packed real estate mogul: Estate vineyards in Yountville, Rutherford and Calistoga deliver the goods in this full-bodied expression of Napa
