Smoke, ash, barbeque grill, mint, cedar and sassafras all add complexity to the deep core of jammy wild cherry and mulberry fruits on the nose. Silky on entry with excellent breadth across the palate and waves of soft, slightly opaque fruit that has great depth, almost weight that allows it to seep into the palate, yet this is not a particularly weighty wine. There are lovely nuanced wood spice and mineral notes on the palate and a really smoky top note that hovers over all but this is based on a core of precise, even cool slightly peppery wild cherry and black raspberry fruit.
