This wine starts with intense fruit flavors of blackberry and blueberry before a lively yet earthy finish lingers on your palate. While the full body boasts balanced tannins and acidity, spiced chocolate swirls around the light oak aromas that add to this wine's smooth complexity. This powerful shiraz pairs especially well with grilled filet and shrimp.

Polished, ripe and jazzy in style, with lively acidity against surprisingly intense peppery plum, currant and blueberry fruit, persisting impressively through the long, supple finish. Drink now through 2013. 60,000 cases imported

Deep, dark red with purple hues. Intense, lifted aromas of ripe, dark plum, blackberry, sweet vanilla and spice with light subtle hints of blueberry and blackcurrant fruit, all portend to a generous palate that is full flavored, balanced and long. The palate, though big and opulent, has an elegant, smooth texture, some mocha and cedar oak character combined with ripe, dark berry fruit and fine tannins. The mid palate's ripe berry flavors will, with time, reveal more complex characters such as dark chocolate, liquorice, wood smoke and warm leather, as the wine ages and evolves. A full bodied, rich rewarding Shiraz that expresses the warmth of the Australian vintage and the riper flavors, obtainable from the renowned Limestone Coast regions - a wine both generous and harmonious. Excellent drinking now but will reward careful cellaring for six to seven years.

Greg Norman Estate Shiraz Cabernet 2008 wine is dark vibrant crimson color with purple hues. Dense dark fruit aromas of dark plum, ripe blackberry and cherry become more complex, elegant and savory, with olive, cassis and leather that intensify the nose. Sweet vanillin and mocha oak characters underpin the wine. The strong, fruit driven palate is supported by cedar and vanillin oak characters and fine silky tannins. These add to the wine's complexity and ensure lingering, ripe fruit flavors on the finish.

Deep, vibrant red with purple hues; its complex bouquet is made up of dark berry, plums and black cherry with a hint of vanilla and spice. The palate shows and excellent depth of flavor with abundant rich, dark berry fruit and spicy, well-balanced oak. For a long, rewarding finish, the intense flavors are supported by supple, fine-grained tannins.

Famed golfer Greg Norman launched this wine brand in 1999 and has enjoyed great success; the wines are made by his partner, Foster's Wine Estates. The Limestone Coast is an up-and-coming region that includes Coonawarra, Wrattonbully and Padthaway. The vines are planted on gentle limestone rises, and the wines are lively and elegant.

Lithe, with tangy acidity to balance the ripe blackberry and licorice flavors, which linger nicely as the finish picks up austere tannins. Drink with something meaty. Best from 2007 through 2012.

Winemaker's Notes:

this shiraz displays lifted varietal aromas of dark plum, black cherry and spice. The rich palate shows dark berry, plum and ripe cherry flavors supported by well-integrated spicy oak. Supple fine tannins provide good structure and texture to the sweet plum and blackberry flavors and ensure a long elegant finish.
