excellent wine, great with steak
I thought this wine was very smooth and flavorful with soft Tannins. Great with BBQ chicken and steak.

Sorry. At $15.00 I can find plenty of wines that are better. Sour tasting fruit, nasty harsh tannins. It's a Mulligan.
Bought this more than 2 years ago, and wanted to see what a little cellar time did for it. Garnet in color, with faint bricking at edges. Aromas of bell pepper, cassis, and a touch of acetate make this fairly true to the varieties, and also very old world. I suspect that if tasted blind, this would fool many into thinking it was a Bordeaux. Raspberries, blackberries, and a bit of green pepper on the palate. Smoky aftertaste, with some herbs. Bit of glycerin in the texture and finish. For under $10, this is a pretty nice wine, and certainly not an Aussie fruitbomb by any stretch of the imagination.
External Reviews for Greg Norman Estates Cabernet-Merlot Limestone
Lively, juicy and graceful. A smooth red with currant and plum flavors wrapped harmoniously around the finish, with overtones of toast and cedar. Drink now through 2012. 90,000 cases imported.
Lithe, sinewy and well-focused, playing its mint and cedar flavors against a core of black cherry and currant fruit, balancing nicely through the finish. This has presence. Drink now through 2015.
Ripe and supple, with a chocolate and tobacco edge to the lovely berry, currant and herb flavors that linger through the silky finish. Has power and grace. A terrific wine, period, and even better for the price. Drink now through 2008.
Ripe and focused, nicely structured to show off the classic Cabernet flavors of black curant and cedar, which remain elegant and refined through the firm finish. Soft enough to consume now. Drink now through 2008.
Dark wood notes and pastry crust in the nose segue into blueberry and chocolate flavors. Itrsquo;s medium-weight and features a food-friendly tartness on the finish. Simple but good.
This simple country wine smells of black currants and tastes of red fruit. The tannins are loamy and soft, comfortable with most things meaty.
Lithe and generous, a supple red with layers of mint-scented berry and currant flavors, all echoing on a fine-toned, velvety finish. Drink now through 2005.
The Greg Norman Estates Limestone Coast Cabernet Merlot is bright ruby red in color. Vibrant and complex aromas of spicy, red berry fruit, red currant, sweet cherry and cranberries preface notes of varietal, leafy blackcurrant fruit, cinnamon and clove spice. The same abundant, vibrant fruit is reflected on the palate which also shows a hint of liquorice, sweet cinnamon spice, and subtle cedary French oak. The wine is beautifully structured with soft, velvety tannins, balanced acid and abundant, bright, sweet fruit on the finish. A fine Cabernet Merlot, reflecting the generous regional flavors and character of the wines from the Limestone Coast of South Australia.
