What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Green Point was established by the Champagne house Moët & Chandon over 20 years ago in the Yarra Valley, in the southeastern state of Victoria. Cool ocean breezes create ideal conditions for the grapes to develop ripe fruit flavors, while retaining their elegance, finesse, and complexity.

Pale straw yellow with green tints. Complex aromas of fresh peaches, grapefruit rind and cinnamoncombine with creme anglaise and subtle toasty characters. Stone fruit and citrus blossom flavorsdevelop on the palate and are enhanced by a creamy textured mid-palate derived from fivemonths of lees stirring. Subtle flint and savoury flavours extend the palate and provide a fresh, crisp and lingering finish.
