Green Point was established by the Champagne house Moët & Chandon over 20 years ago in the Yarra Valley, in the southeastern state of Victoria. Cool ocean breezes create ideal conditions for the grapes to develop ripe fruit flavors, while retaining their elegance, finesse, and complexity.

Fresh and straightforward, with earthy raspberry fruit and grass scents followed by intense herbal-spiked cherry liqueur flavors on the palate. With its well-managed tannins, this is a good choice for lighter beef dishes, like pot roast. W.E. Crisp in texture, with a bit of tannic grip to the modest currant fruit, lingering quietly. Drink now through 2012. 18,000 cases made. -HS ** SOLD OUT **

The Green Point Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2007 has dense, rich color demonstrates the power and intensity of fruit, with finesse and elegance, the truly distinguishing characters of this wine. It has a bright aroma of cigar box, black currant and hints of classic Cabernet leafiness combine with subtle spice and chocolate from Shiraz. The palate is fresh and vibrant, black currant and berry flavors enriched by an underlying dark cherry and chocolate complexity. The wine finishes with firm and silky Cabernet tannins.
