Green & Red Chiles Canyon Zinfandel 2006

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

The grapes for this bottling are from three vineyards in Chiles Valley, known as the high valley in the 1880s, with an average elevation of 900 feet. They are farmed without herbicides. Combined, they produce a complex, spicy zinfandel.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Intense and concentrated, with classic scents of wild berry, plum and pepper. Firm tannins and a persistent finish make this mouthful of Zin most appealing, and the price is hard to beat. One of the best in years from this producer. Drink now through 2010.
