Great White

Member Review by bcmoney:

A simultaneously painful (on the palate) and pleasurable (on the pocketbook) experience. Great White is a cheap and noxious overly sweet wine which may induce early onset diabetes if consumed too frequently due to its high sugar content. At the same time, it is a must try for its quaint and lovable characteristics, and paradox of having such high alcohol content yet being considered a fruity dessert/fortified wine. This wine has earned its title of "Shark Piss" through generations of fallen college and university students drinking it to save a few bucks and enjoy a drunken, belligerent night out at the same time.

Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod:
We pioneered the art of maritime grape growing on Cape Cod, and our vinifera vineyard produces wine with intense flavor and lush varietal character. We open our doors each season to wine lovers from around the world who visit the tasting room and gift shop in our carefully restored 1830's farmhouse. During the summer, wine tastings are held outdoors under our tasting pavillion.
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
