Vintage: 2004 02/15/2009

Ruby, very quickly moving to inky black just past the edges. Vanilla and cherry nose, almost like cherry cheesecake, adding strong hints of pineapple on the second day (or perhaps if decanted 2 hours on the first). Big fruit palate, with cherries and berries predominating, but plums and the tiniest touch of fig as well. It has cookie dough to balance out oak, as the tannins save this one from being too sweet. A genuine winner, at a by-the-case price.
