I really like this port! Tasted it at Southern Lattitudes wine shop in Carmel, Ca. It was brought out to me by one of the owners, to whom I informed that I could not find an Aussie wine I liked. Well, well, well. LOVED IT! This is a Tawny port, oak matured. To me, I tasted rich toasted hazelnuts, butterscotch, and more that I am unable to describe... I reallly love this port and recommend it highly.

Wine Tasting NotesThe Grant Burge 10 Year Old Tawny is a richly flavored wine showing a tawny color with tinges of red. Complex rancio characters show through on the bouquet, together with some fresh fruit characters and excellent integration of spirit. The palate is sweet and mellow but finishes quite dry and shows a harmonious balance of developed fruit characters and oak tannins.
