The Torres family surname has been linked with wine for more than three centuries, during which time our ancestors have worked vineyards in Penedès, a land with a millenarian tradition of wine. Abundantly fruity aroma suggestive of wild raspberries, with an earthy hint of spiciness. Generous and smooth on the palate.
Stocky and warm, with mild baked-fruit aromas and a hint of bramble. This venerable table wine is made from 65% Garnacha and 35 Carintilde;ena, and from 2005 itrsquo;s pretty much on the money. Expect earthy, mildly brambly flavors, lively acidity and soft tannins. Good for a wide range of simple foods and appetizers.
This juicy red offers black cherry, chocolate and light herbal flavors, with light tannins and crisp acidity. A slight bitterness gives it a refreshing finish. Carintilde;ena and Garnacha. Drink now through 2009.
Dunkelrote Farbe; in der Nase Noten von Pflaumen und schwarzer Johannisbeer-Marmelade, dazu leichte Eichen-, Anis- und Lakritznoten. Vollmundig und rund am Gaumen; mittlerer Gehalt, süffig mit recht langem Nachhall.
The other ldquo;Bullrsquo;s Bloodrdquo; is a spicy blend of Grenache and Carintilde;ena. The bouquet offers aromas of sweet sun-ripened cherries and blackberries, while the American oak contributes a touch of black pepper and spice. Eminently enjoyable.
With 65% Garnacha and 35% Carintilde;ena, this spends six months in American oak and nine months in large oak vats. Medium blackberry color. Warm nose with light, attractive oak, red cherries and wild strawberries. Smooth, velvety, mouth filling cherry fruit with firm tannins and a gutsy, rustic finish. Forthright and Spanish/Catalan in style. Exceptional value.
Good full red. Complex if slightly reduced aromas of raspberry, bacon fat, spices and meat, with a hint of surmaturiteacute;. Superripe and sweet, with liqueur-like red fruits and spices; a bit roasted but decent acidity gives definition to the flavors. Firmly structured and spicy on the back.
