Reviews for 2009 Vintage
I liked the little reliefs on the label, which also discusses the wine's "terrior" - woof woof! Interesting aroma with a dash of cinnamon. A robust malbec that grabs you by the lapel but doesn't yell in your face. Some nutty tannins, a little plum, and a light smokiness that plays around the periphery. Earthy but not abrasive - quite good for an inexpensive malbec.
The Malbec represents Autumn, or a Otonoa on Spanish. From Tupungato Argentina, just south on Mendoza, comes this unbelievable bargain. Experience tangy cherry and sweet plum on the nose with firm acids buffered by loads of sweet fruit. This is a great example of Argentinaa s flagship red varietal at a great price.

This Malbec packs a punch. Very dark red in color. I feel a rich rush of plum and black cherry that quickly fades. A slight taste lingers.
Good nose, good body...went well with marinated flank steak.
I liked this for the price. World Market had it for about $10.
