Goldwater Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Pale yellow. Pure, scented nose offers citrus peel, tarragon, pepper and subtle saline minerality. Rich, tactile and full but without any impression of weight. The citrus, mineral and spice flavors offer terrific intensity and life in the mouth. A complex, serious wine with outstanding depth. The very long finish hints at passion fruit and guava. 92 points.- Stephen Tanzer

tropical fruit aromas with orange fruit, some stone fruit, and guava. crisp bright and nice balanced acidity but apparent that this is made in a warmer, sunnier area b/c of its characteristics.

This embodies everything you would want from a NZ Sauv Blanc. Grass, cat pee and grapefruit.

The 2010 has a very aromatic nose of lime and Gardenia flowers. The acid is not overblown as in some NZ Sauv Blancs. Good acid balance. Nice extract, rich fruit. A very nice effort. My rating -- 90

Crisp, with green apple, Asian pear and lemon-lime flavors and an extremely refreshing acidity that gives way to tasty Key lime pie flavors on the finish. Drink now.

This wine is pale straw gold in color and intenselyaromatic with aromas of stone fruit and passionfruit. Subtle citrus notes provide a further lift. The palate displays real fruit intensity accentuated by rich ripe flavors with tropical and citrus nuances. It has a crisp mouth feel and is well balanced with an elegant, long finish.

Sourced from Marlboroughrsquo;s main valley, this is a nicely made example of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Grapefruit and crushed tomato-leaf notes mingle easily, backed by ripe, vaguely tropical fruit. Itrsquo;s medium in body, finishing clean and refreshing.
