Food Pairings for Golden Kaan Sauvignon Blanc
This is one of the best Sauvignon Blancs from South Africa I've tasted. It just absolutely blew me away. New Zealand gets all the accolades for Sauvignon Blanc now, but I think South Africa has been in the forefront of Sauvignon Blanc for a long time. Overall, this Sauvignon Blanc is very clean with vibrant fruit components which abound with hints of white peach, nectarine, and grapefruit The Golden Kaan is light golden in color with a little chartreuse. It's a little atypical in that you don't get that smokey South African character in the nose, but instead a character that is melony-y with citrus, white peach, and herbs. The palate has fresh herbs and lime, and the finish is tart and herbal.
