The story of a shared passion ... A little history… In 52 BC, the Romans invade Gaul, then, in the 1st and 2nd  century AD, they plant many vines in Burgundy . But it is in the Middle Ages that the monks considerably develop the vineyard of Yonne as well in surface as in quality. Later, the influence of the Dukes of Burgundy brings our wines its nobility, throughout Europe. In 1850, the department of Yonne then counted 40,000 hectares of vines (against about 7,500 hectares in 2015, source BIVB). If in the years 1875/1910 the entire French vineyard is destroyed by Phylloxera (a pest aphid come from America), the courage of our ancestors has allowed to develop again this vineyard. Our region is truly nourished by its wine history.   Domaine Jean-Hugues and Guilhem GOISOT Our family estate, where we find the first traces the 14 th  century, is located in the wine village of Saint Bris le Vineux from the Middle Ages, it is surrounded by Irancy, Chablis and Auxerre. At the heart of the vineyards of northern Burgundy in the department of Yonne (less than two hours from Paris), the exploitation of 30 hectares extends to the municipalities of Saint-Bris, Irancy and Chablis. It is in 1979 that we take again (Ghislaine and Jean-Hugues) the family business, we always had in heart to pay attention to the earth, it is of this respect for the ground that the logic of cultivating differently appeared as an obviousness. After adopting organic farming mode for many years, a certification application is filed with ECOCERT, the domain is certified since 2001. In 2005, our son Guilhem and his wife Marie, who have the same respect for the land, join the field, which is awarded the same year by DEMETER in biodynamic certification . For many years, we have been working on vines in the respect of appellations, consumers, people who work for the estate and of course the environment with a know-how that combines tradition and modernism.   The sale to the estate is only by appointment from Monday to Saturday, we can also offer a personalized tasting in our cellars in a friendly atmosphere (we can not receive groups of more than 6 people).
