Loads of Green Apple, almost like a liquid green apple Jolly Rancher. A hint of butter, but not like an annoying, Chardonnay butter bomb. It Killed with Asian Salmon.

An inland region in northwest Spain, Valdeorras, has resurrected Godello, a grape that was nearly extinct 20 years ago. A richer white than its neighboring Albari¤o, with intriguing subtle floral and lime flavors that make it ideal for shellfish.

Pear pine and anise flavors are focused and clean in this firm white. Mineral-tinged acidity provides real backbone with citrus and floral notes lingering on the finish. Drink now through 2011. 1500 cases imported.
