I took both - zin and cab Gnarly 2011 to compare. Zin seems to be more fresh and fun then cab... And cab is deep and doomed. both are good but I'd choose cab next time.Add winemaker's notes

Berry on the nose. Jammy blackberry at first with a spicy finish. Very nice .
Nice garnet color, soil and dark berry aromas, earthy plum taste, nice round mouthfeel with a peppery tang on lingering finish.
Another good Zin! What a bargain! Under $10!!! Great with everything rich...
I got this at Lowe's Foods, on sale, for 9.99. It looks like I could get it cheaper somewhere else. I am definitely going to do that because this was one tasty MFer. Very fruity with a tinge of cinnamon. The aroma was very light.
Great black cherry notes. Delicious for the price. I was very surprised. Went well with filet, asparagus, portabellas, and crusty bread!
Very surprised at how well this tasted. The aroma is by far one of my favorites! The taste dry and deep. You can really taste the berry and it's earthy.
