Succulent raspberry, plum and black cherry fruit aromas and hints of brown spice and forest floor announce this delicious Pinot Noir, perhaps our best ever. Complex, round and mouth-filling, the wine glides onto the palate displaying pure black cherry and ripe berry flavors, and the long aftertaste is rich yet fresh and agile.

Wine Tasting NotesA brilliant, pink color with streaks of salmon throughout. Aromas of fresh raspberry, citrus and antique rose mark the bouquet while the palate displays a blood orange character (cherry/citrus) and wild strawberry flavors in the crisp, lengthy finish.

Gloria Ferrer is a winery know primary for excellent sparkling wine from grapes grown in their Carneros estate vineyards. Of course those grapes are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and now with many acres of mature vines these varietals have really started to shine as is very evident in this 2007 Estate Pinot. This wine is produced entirely form the free run juice after a three day cold soak and slow fermentation of the individual vineyard lots. Aged for nine months in French oak (33% new), Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this Pinot 94 points saying "The first of Gloria’s 2007 Pinots to be released, and a promising allure to their future block bottlings. The wine is, in a word, superb. It has ripe raspberry, cherry and blackberry fruit, but also a wonderful earthiness of mushrooms, and the tannin-acid balance is near perfect. A gorgeous young wine to decant and enjoy now."
