• This is out 8th Carneros Merlot release • 100% Carneros Merlot • 72% Estate Vineyards, 19% Robledo Vineyards, 9% JPG Vineyards • Vines were well-balanced, with moderate pruning weights and yields • Grapes were de-stemmed, lightly crushed and fermented at 85F. A three-day cold soak softened and broadened the tannins, promoted color extraction and enhanced aromatics • Gentle pump-overs three times daily extracted maximum color, flavors and tannins • The wine was racked and returned to barrel every three months • Aged for 12 months in small French (87%) and American (13%) oak barrels, one-third new. Coopers included Billon, Francois Frères, Vicard and Kelvin • Bottled unfined
