Earthy on the nose which gains hints of pressed flowers, dried citrus peel, hint of sweetness, a little Chinese five spice spiciness, and a touch of carob with air. A bit of a coarser mousse typical of roses with a fine bright palate full of earthy dry pear fruit, a hint of meatiness, and then lovely spice on the backend. This is moderately rich and textured in the mouth with fine persistence to the dried strawberry and cranberry flavors with a touch of dried orange peel on the finale. Compklex, rich and a bit powerful. 91pts
Tart on the nose with a little quinine and quince over yeasty, Brie like, creamy, sweet pear fruit Soft and tart on entry with plenty of yeast wrapped apple, melon and mineral flavors. This has a gentle buttery sweetness to it but is a bit lean, fresh and simple, and a bit short. 87pts
Lovely nose, complex and floral with sweet pear fruit turning spicy with a hint of white pepper over candied almond dried apple peel,and candle wax nuance. Lightly creamy on entry though with big flavors in the mouth. The mousse is a little aggressive but this has some fabulous layered flavors of lime, lemon curd, deep slightly mushroomy notes, cashew, brazil nut and light vanilla accents. It’s really quite complex and long, rich with umami, and rather elegant finishing with a nice edge of nougat. I love the savory flavors here. 93pts

Superb sparkling wine for the price. The wine is a mix of two thirds Pinot Noir and one third Chardonnay. It starts off with a very bright and fresh nose which translates into the taste. A real mouthful up front that develops into a complex apple flavor with some citrus and spice. Long finish that is not extremely dry. Very drinkable sparkling that should suit a wide range of palettes.
This was my second favourite offering from Gloria Ferrer. The Pinot in this wine gave it better overall feel. It had a better finish than the Blanc de Blanc but I found the flavors a bit more muted.

The latest edition of Gloria Ferrer's Blanc de Noir is a wonderful example of just what can happen when California fruit meets the methode champenoise. Bright and buoyant with overtones of strawberries and cherries yet never in the least bit candied or overly cute, the wine is very well-balanced, lightly yeasty and charged with lots of pinpointy bubbles. It is at fresh and friendly and can be quaffed on its own, but it has structure and substance to pair well with poached salmon in richer cream sauces.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Simply beautiful! Ripe stone fruit medley & citrus intermingle with toast, butter & yeasty aromas on the nose of this well-developed yet vibrantly fresh sparkling wine.
A triumphant full-bodied blend of primarily Pinot Noir. Intense fruit flavors of ripe strawberry and spicy cranberry. The unique salmon color of this sparkler is the result of its creation in the traditional, dry, rose style. Very limited!
