Winemakers Notes

An unseasonably warm winter in 1995 resulted in an early bud break in the vineyards. This, combined with a elatively wet spring, caused a lowered crop yield. While several dramatic heat spikes during the summer months hastened the ripening process, the end of harvest was marked by a cooling trend, a duality that promoted both ripe flavors and a fine balance in the sparkling wines.
