Glenora Wine Cellars Finger Lakes Riesling 2008

External Review by We Speak Wine:

Glenora's Riesling grapes are harvested early in the season to capture their crisp fruit flavors. A long, cool fermentation is arrested just shy of bone dry leaving a dry wine balanced with pleasant, fruity, classic Riesling characteristics. - Winery

The Riesling is a grape variety which is ideally suited to the Finger Lakes Region. Our soil types and cool growing season mature the grape slowly, producing fresh, bright fruit, floral aromas and flavors reminiscent of nectarines and honey. Natural acidity and lingering grape sugar are balanced in the fresh semi-sweet finish. Our Riesling is enjoyable by itself, as an aperitif or with a variety of foods including fruits, cheeses and most summer salads. - Winery
