Glen Ellen Chardonnay California Proprietor's Reserve 2008
A light, fruity wine, with gentle melon, peach and vanilla aromas and flavors and a touch of spice on the finish. Ultimately tastes simpler than it sounds, but appealing. Drinkable now.Add winemaker's notes
Glen Ellen is a wine produced by Concannon Wines, named for the wine-centric town in the Sonoma Valley. These are classic examples of California mainstays, and are available in large and small format bottles.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

A pleasant, monolithic, but authentic tasting Chardonnay, Glen Ellen's 1997 Proprietor's Reserve exhibits light to medium body, buttery tropical fruit, and an off-dry finish. Drink it over the next year.
