Glen Carlou Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Wine Enthusiast Review Rated 90 CELLAR SELECTION The nose starts with a delicate aroma of minerals, black currant and spice, and on the palate, layers of anise, cracked pepper and clove add a soulful touch. Sturdy tannins and a vibrant overall fruit profile give the wine a lift, but the package is balanced and smooth. Wine Tasting Notes The color is deep purple red with a bright, youthful tinge. Aromas of nutmeg, cloves and aniseed are backed up with vanilla spice. On the palate mulberry, raspberry and herbal notes enter with a crisp acidity. The fi nish is intense with fruit driven character and a solid tannin backbone for maturation.
