Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

This is absolutely my favourite wine, ever. We enjoyed it with roast duck and blueberry sauce on Christmas Day 2005. I'm afraid I just don't have the wine vocabulary to do it justice in my review, so I'll keep it uber-simple: try it! You won't be disappointed. Worth every penny and more. Addendum: I gave this wine 4.5 out of 5 only because I'm holding out my 5-star rating for that spectacularly mind-blowing mythical 5-star wine that I haven't yet tasted.

Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes :The dense ruby/purple-colored 2004 Shiraz The Distance exhibits plenty of blackberry and cassis fruit as well as smoke, graphite, and pepper characteristics. Full-bodied, powerful, and rich, with 16.2% alcohol, it should age well for 10-15 years.
