Write your review here, and rate the wine from 1 to 5 glasses above.Low key on the nose with notes of raspberry coulis, tobacco, dried rose and roasted strawberry. This is gentle and feminine smelling with very subtle spicy earth tones. In the mouth this is quite velvety with a seamless quality to the slightly astringent red plum fruit. There is nice drive on the palate with a big licorice drive tone that completes the palate and adds length. Ahhh . . . another '89. Volcanic nose of sheer ridiculousness. Sweet peppers, black cherries, flowers, minerals, wet tar. Super aromas. Awesome concentration on the palate. Definetly one of the densest wines of the day. Incredibly complexity and ripeness. Not even close to over the top. Astounding length. Profound wine
