Winemakers Notes
Another powerfully expressive Petite Sirah from Girard Winery. You'll need to take the hinges off your door to get this big wine into your house. Full-bodied with bursting flavors of dark cherry, blueberry and plum. A rustic, earthy quality on the nose, with spicy notes of nutmeg, allspice and cocoa. On the palate the wine is surprisingly soft while retaining the mouth filling tannins and body for which our Petite Sirah is justly renowned. The middle of the wine shows multiple levels of flavor with a rich silky mouth feel. The finish is smooth and shows an excellent balance of soft tannins and ripe fruit.
