What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Our 2007 Russian River Chardonnay exhibits wonderful brightness, clarity and light weight on the palate. The aroma/flavor profile includes: pear, Meyer lemon, plantains and lovely smoky clover honey notes. The wine was aged sur lie, with frequent stirring of the lees, helping soften the palate and add complexity. This vintage makes for a refreshing apéritif and the crisp acidity enables the wine to pair with lighter white fish, white meats and fresh green salads.

Rating: 89/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 04/09 Pear and chamomile flavors fill out the buttercream richness of this chardonnay. Oak lends a hint of tannin, giving it a light grip for grilled prawns.
