What to Expect
Nebbiolo is a fickle grape famed as much for its pale appearance as for its tannic character and produces some of the most perfumed and richly flavored wines. Though generally only medium-bodied, the wines possess rose and anise scented aromatics and deep flavors of cherry, orange peel and subtle green herb tones.

So I just popped and poured this with modest expectations. The cork was really still very tight, a good sign and quite white and pliable when extracted. The wine on the other hand was evolved at first with decidedly bronzed color and a rich nose of beef bouillon and celery leaves. With time the wine freshened up adding a nice anise frond tone and notes of tar, leather and earth to blossoming cherry fruit. The tannins were fairly resolved and the acidity was obvious and refreshing.
