Giacosa Fratelli Barolo Bussia 2008

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

A touch of integrated raw wood but very aromatic, sandlewood, spicy, earthy, rich fruit, woodsy, clean in the mouth, smallish with modest fruit and some wood tannin even up front. Dark core of tight fruit, shallow, ungenerous, almost some elgance on the mid-palate, fine tannins, savory low finish, woody finish.

a big woodsy nose, confiture of bitter cherry, intense if monolithic, but very clean and fresh, a nice menthol top note, pretty sweet entry then a bit thin, shiny and hard though the sour cherry and herbal/citrus toned fruit is pleasant, a bit thin but nice 85-86

Licorice on the Nose and confirmed by the Taster. Classic Ruby/Garnet RED, with growing rustic character. Classic Barolo and 2007. Enjoy now. Best paired with Porcini, truffle and pungent cheese. Vivia Fratelli Bussia Barolo 2007. - William F&B Barolo
