Bright ruby-red. Enticing raspberry and red cherry aromas are lifted by mint, mineral and herbs. Fresh and juicy on the palate, with mouthwatering red cherry and flint flavors that carry very well on the back end. I love this wines balance and easy-drinking charm; wines like this give great everyday drinking pleasure at the dining table. Excellent sangiovese with the typical refinement of the 2010 vintage. Giacomo Mori makes a number of delicious wines, but the straight Chianti is really the stand out. In most vintages it is one of the very finest Italian wines for $20.00. The 2010 Chianti is gorgeous. Sweet red cherries, leather, dried flowers and licorice are some of the notes that emerge from this vibrant, perfumed Chianti. Aging in cask and neutral barrels give the Mori's Chianti tons of vibrancy and freshness to a melange of classic Sangiovese aromas and flavors. The estate's Chianti is 95% Sangiovese and 5% Colorino/Canaiolo. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.

Sweet dark cherries, plums, spices and white flowers flow from the 2009 Chianti. This shows gorgeous freshness and vibrancy throughout. Firm but well-balanced tannins frame the finish. This is about as good a Chianti as readers will find for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. ** SOLD OUT **
