Gevrey Chambertin Combe Aux Moines Rene Leclerc 1988

Winemaker's Notes:

"Has the very desirable red-orange brick color. The vibrant raspberry, cinnamon, and cherry flavors have receded somewhat and are now harmoniously combined with forest floor, mineral, and herb flavors. Both the tannins and acidity have softened, but are still present and wonderfully balanced with the fruit and secondary flavors. This wine has great mouth feel. And the finish is long, inviting, and super smooth. A delicious wine in a great vintage that is aging gracefully." -Importer
