Herbal notes enhanced by fresh red fruit flavours and a dry and harmonious finish. This state of the art winery is surrounded by 55 hectares of meticulously well cared vineyards on the slopes of Epanomi. It is the brainchild of Vangelis Gerovassiliou who inititated the revival of the family vineyard by planting the nearly extinct Malagousia in 1981.Domaine Gerovassiliou guarantees consistent, high quality wines of international acclaim every year. The low yielding vineyards are cultivated in compliance with ecologically sustainable management practices.Grapes: 40% Merlot, 40% Syrah and 20% LimnioRegion: Greece / Macedonia / Epanomi PGIMaker: Evangelos GerovassiliouNotes: The wine is quite dark ruby and concentrated, elegant, with a pronounced bouquet of black fruits (flavors of ripe plum, cherry) and spices. On the palate the wine offers gentle tannins enhanced with great fruit intensity, yet round and harmonious. The finish is spicy, long and persistent.Serve: At 16-18c with roast pork, poultry, richly flavoured meat and game dishes.
