Germano/Ettore Barolo Lazzarito Riserva 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 94 points and 'Cellar Selection' by Wine Enthusiast: Made from 85-year-old vines, this needed some time to open up in the glass but when it did, it was well worth the wait. Revealing classic Nebbiolo sensations, the concentrated palate delivers underbrush, dried rose, morello cherry, leather, truffle and tobacco. It's nicely balanced, with firm polished tannins and vibrant acidity that give it an ageworthy structure. Drink 2020-2030. Alcohol 14.5%.
