Germain Robin Brandy Fine

Winemaker's Notes:

This wine is as good as the name is interesting- a great conversation piece over a steak! : Exciting wine made by Philippe Melka using basically the Caldwell blend, with fruit from the extremely famous Caldwell and Paras vineyards. The blend combines Cabernet from Paras Vineyard, which has huge structure with the more floral and complex Syrah and Merlot from Caldwell.

Hubert’s first brandies outscored famous cognacs in blind tastings. By the late 1990s, when Hubert’s cellar had matured, his brandies began to be reviewed as among the world’s finest spirits: elegant, complex, Read less

This is an exquisite vsop style brandy made with French Colombard and other grapes in Northern California. It compares beyond simple Cognacs, with smooth, rich and delicate flavors that show more than the 6 years of age. I may be biased since I make these brandies, but the proof is in the glass!
