Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

A bit too soon to talk about how 07' Burgundy is turning out, yes, but the promise is certainly there. Keep this one (properly) around for another few years and something great can come about. Nevertheless, this is a great time to try this sort if thing, since the prices are a point that allows drinking some now too. This is why I love 1er crus like Saint-Aubin. The wine is really balanced, with green apple and a touch of creamy oak, but with some unusual pineapple thrown in that's also subtle and well-tuned. Balanced and really enjoyable young, so it will just keep getting better if you're able to hang on.
