Spicy and a bit earthy on the nose with aromas of black grapes and jammy strawberry fruit. Light fresh and a bit dilute in the mouth with some finely ripe tannins adding a bit of mouthgrab to the easygoing cherry/strawberry flavors that pick up some earthy and vaguely herbal nuance on the backend. and through the short, somewhat sharp finish. 83pts

A 2011 Gamay from Burgundy, France. Ruby color with mid-rim variation. Dark fruits hints of cherry and raspberry with a hint of pepper. It has a long finish on the palette and balanced acidity. This wine will mature over time (peak time 2016-2020). Best served chilled to 55 degrees, and served with a grilled sausage and pasta dish.

An intense, brilliant cherry color with purplish tints. Complex nose with red and black berry aromas (raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants). A smooth wine with fine tannins, harmonious and complete.
