Winemaker's Notes:

Georges and Franck Dubœuf have made a thorough selection of wines from Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, Bordeaux, the Loire and Languedoc, while giving champagne the prestigious pride of place it deserves. Bruno Vertut and Alain Beaurin, who staff the cellar, deliver specific advice recommending combinations of wine and food, making the most of a customer’s budget or suggesting new discoveries. A neat blend of refinement and relaxation make this a cellar for both ordinary wine-lovers and connoisseurs. Dubœuf, rue Marbeuf, a cellar like every cellar should be, where you quite simply find good bottles at the nicest price, together with the pleasure of getting sound and considerate advice. Georges and Franck Dubœuf have won recognition for their expertise in the art of wine tasting and selection, a perfect illustration of which is their cellar, just off the Champs Élysées. More than anything else, their one wish is to perpetuate, on Rue Marbeuf, one of the capital’s most Parisian shopping streets, a product marked by trade-mark simplicity and excellent value for money. This is where you find the best of the wine range from Georges Dubœuf. Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages rub shoulders with the 10 Beaujolais vintages of Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Régnié and Saint-Amour. Plus the Mâcon appellations of Mâcon, Viré-Clessé, Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint Véran. Whether fruity or flowery, lively or potent, for immediate opening or for long stays in a cellar, they all illustrate to perfection their Beaujolais, Mâcon and Burgundy identity. Read less

I agree with Lynnjp. Picked it up for the same reason. Quick cheap holiday wine to get me past the dreaded dinners and overeating. Well it wasnt fantastic. To be perfectly honest my wife and I didnt even finish the bottle. We had one glass, tried to suck it up and finish it off but just couldnt. Wild uncontrolable tannins with a carnival ride of fruit that had no consistancy. Ive been a fan of the Nouveau in the past and been happier with it. The 2013 was disapointing.

This was an ok wine. I picked it up at the local grocery store as an afterthought due to the marketing :). Thanksgiving Wine! and I thought what the heck, I am trying all different kinds of wine, what not give it a try, I did, and all I can say is, been there, done that, drank it and got the souvenir bottle. I would give a better descriptive tasting note, but I don't feel I have the nose, palate or knowledge to do that. All I can say was that it was ok, but I would not buy it again except for novelty purposes.

Easy to tell this is very young. Very tannic, not a lot of depth of flavor. Very fruit-forward as advertised. My first BVN, but something to baseline against for future years. Picked up at Giant in Nov 2013.

We are grateful for a lovely "Indian Summer," which amongst other things, helped to produce a harvest that is wonderfully mature and rich in sugar, reaching the same standards as the 2011 and 2012 vintages. The quality of the vintage is promising and the colors are gorgeous with lovely purple reds and violet hued glints. The aromas are sublime with wild strawberries, redcurrants and, in particular, exquisite scents of raspberries. Beaujolais Nouveau 2013 will be a joy to drink! - Winery ** SOLD OUT **

Always a great choice for the Holidays. Fresh and fruit forward with flavors of strawberry jam and cherry. The first arrival of the newest vintage!

An intense, brilliant cherry color with purplish tints. Complex nose with red and black berry aromas (raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants). A smooth wine with fine tannins, harmonious and complete.
