An intense, brilliant cherry color with purplish tints. Complex nose with red and black berry aromas (raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants). A smooth wine with fine tannins, harmonious and complete.

Waxy black cherries emerge from the nose of the 2005 Brouilly Chateau de Nervers. A medium to full-bodied effort with impressive depth and concentration of fruit, it slathers the palate with sweet black fruits that linger in its prolonged finish. Rich, powerful, and fleshy, it will be at its peak between 2007 and 2014.

Has ripe, medium-weight black cherry flavors, a touch of chocolate and a round, lively finish. Ideal with salmon or roast chicken. Drink now through 2002.

A cinnamon spice nose greets you; the fruit is sweet up front, but finishes dry. There are no tannins to speak of, but the structure and balance is fine. Light-bodied and stylish.

Nice, ripe dark fruits packed in this - cherries, plums, blackberries - along with some muscle. Picks up a smoky note on the firm finish, where the flavors linger. Drink now.

Brouilly is the largest of the Crus. It is named after an inactive volcano, the Mont. de Brouilly, that its extensive vineyards surround. The soil, quite typically, is a composition of several types of granite. The wine offers generous aromas of red fruits and plums with light mineral accents. It is a well-balanced wine that encourages the rich, fruity character of the Gamay grape.
