Tasty wine and not a fruit bomb but still, rich and fruity. I might buy this again to take to a party. Tested after 18 hrs in a cooler at 50 deg F with cap on. Had a tight nose somewhat closed at this time point with hints of musty chocolately fruit with perhaps berry and even bubblegum or tropical fruit notes. In the mouth quite savory chewy and meat-like in the mid palate with ripe neutrlal to slightly sweet fruit (plum, blue-boysenberry, dark fruit). Finish of pseudo-sweet chocolate-covered dried fruit that fades with reasonable acid in the front middle of the tongue. Dry to off-dry. Body medium plus, acid medium or lower, tannin medium or lower. Good QPR at USD10. And I like the organic/sustainable angle.

The Tadpole Shiraz is an untamed animal – zero filtration, zero fining, and minimal intervention. Dark berries combine with rosemary and hints of mineral in the mouth. This wine has concentration, yet it remains focused, with balanced acidity and soft tannins. This is your classic balcony wine: natural, juicy, soft, and drinkable.
