Gemtree Cadenzia Grenache Shiraz Tempranillo 6 Bottles Minimum Sa-Mclaren Vale 2006
Bright purple in colour, this unique blend of Grenache (60%), Tempranillo (20%) and Shiraz (20%) brings together the best of France's Rhone region, Spains Rioja and Australia. The nose shows examples of cherry compote, meaty flavours and spice. Palate wise the wine displays layers of texture with chalky tannins. In flavour terms, there are hints of cherry, plum and game. A great meat wine!

Enjoyed this 26 Feb, 2011. On the nose clear raspberry, cherry, and some light oak and vanilla. Taste is rich, powerful with lots of berries and very spanish rioja tones of oak and vanilla. Very nice overall structure and probably still good aging potential. Gotta get more of this. 91/100
