- Vincent Geantet succinctly noted that his yields were down 50%, that sugars came in between 12.8 to 13.4% and that he felt obliged to correct the acidities. Moreover, as he usually does, he will bottle on the early side, which is to say the middle of November. All wines saw approximately one-third new oak except for the Chambolle, which was 50%. (Jeroboam Wines, New York, NY, Kysela Père et Fils, Winchester, VA; Howard Ripley, Goedhuis & Co. and Domaine Direct, UK). Note: from vines between 49 and 62 years of age The nose is marked by the wood with hints of vanilla, anise and clove that complement very read more...ripe, concentrated and mineral-infused flavors that display excellent length if not necessarily great depth. It should drink well early by the usual standards of this wine. (hide)
