- Vincent Geantet succinctly noted that his yields were down 50%, that sugars came in between 12.8 to 13.4% and that he felt obliged to correct the acidities. Moreover, as he usually does, he will bottle on the early side, which is to say the middle of November. All wines saw approximately one-third new oak except for the Chambolle, which was 50%. (Jeroboam Wines, New York, NY, Kysela Père et Fils, Winchester, VA; Howard Ripley, Goedhuis & Co. and Domaine Direct, UK). Note: from a mix of vines planted between 1922 and 1961 This is more aromatically reserved with only glimpses of somber pinot fruit read more...and pungent Gevrey earth that is followed by tighter, bigger and more structured flavors that are dusty, intense and long but only a touch more complex or interesting.
