Founded in 1865, Viña San Pedro figures among the largest and oldest Chilean wine exporters and is one of the country’s most important wineries, with presence in more than 80 markets on all five continents with its brands Cabo de Hornos, 1865 Single Vineyard, Castillo de Molina, 35°South, and GatoNegro. This wide brand portfolio allows it to target a great variety of consumers throughout the world. San Pedro’s main plantations, the winery and the centenary underground cellar are located in Molina, at the Curicó Valley, 200 Km south from Santiago. An area gifted with gentle rolling hills and frank soils on volcanic tuff, with privileged climatic and geographical conditions for grape-growing. Here, San Pedro owns one of the largest continuous areas of vineyards in South America, with 1,200 hectares. But besides this, San Pedro counts with more than 1,500 hectares planted all along the Central Valley and in other Chile’s main viticulture valleys, such as Elqui, Casablanca, San Antonio-Leyda, Maipo, Cachapoal, Maule and Bío-Bío, being always in search of new and better origins and flavors for its wines. Today, VSPT is the second largest Chilean wine exporter and stands at the first place of the fine wine’s segment in the domestic market. Read less

Bouquet of violet and lavender with strong red currant and some wet stone aromas. Rose petal. Pretty and fragrant. On the palate, a good acid profile. Fresh currant and red berry fruit. It's a floral, feminine style. Some fresh green herbs. Minerality with indications of pencil shavings. It's vibrant and pretty, but as time goes, the acidity builds and becomes a tad abrasive. Some light earth tones keep it interesting. Overall, a nice wine. 89 pts.

This was a great white wine for the price! Bouquet reminds me of New Zealand whites - very floral - which some people don't care for but which I personally found delightful. After such a forward bouquet, I expected it to be too sweet for my tastes, but it wasn't at all. It was quite dry with good body, a touch of creaminess on your tongue but with good acidity as well. Had this with pizza (proscuitto, arugula, and shaved crotonese with spicy red-pepper rind) and it was perfect! Would definitely buy this again. At the price, it would be perfect for a party/bbq.

A pretty, deep ruby/violet colour, it has a complex aroma where red fruit notes are predominant, reminiscent of cherries and spices, with a peppery touch. A hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it is greatly concentrated and full-bodied with firm tannins which at the same time are elegant and smooth. The great acidity provides freshness and balance to the wine. The finish is long and pleasant. This LBV is ready to be enjoyed and will become more complex by extending ageing for a couple of decades. To fully enjoy the qualities it has to offer, we recommend decanting before serving. Ideal with soft cheese, smooth blue cheese, dark chocolate desserts or a pepper steak! - Winery

The old dependable black cat of Chile is back with this hearty, easy-going effort, showing spicy, jammy notes of red currant and clove. A no-brainer for parties and for fall Sundays over pizza and football.

Deep bright red, with purple tinges at the edges. Intense ripe red fruit characters, ranging from ripe plums. The taste is full-bodied with ripe soft tannins giving good structure and texture. Good tannins and blackberry fruit flavor on the palate. Middle palate showing plumy flavors, and being very full, round and soft. On the finish, nice sweet fruit flavors.
