One of best Bonarda in Oltrepo' pavese ! You can start with a really fresh 2009 till a really serious 2006. The wine becomes less fizzy and bubbling more concentrated. Fresh red fruits are predominant. It' very good with starters and pasta, expecially filled pasta as ravioli ( very typical in the Oltrepo') in a good beef broth or with a stew sauce. Also ideal for bollito misto ( boiled beef, chicken, salami, tongue...). The most interesting in my opinion is a really"natural" flavour is wine made with modern technology but in ancient style !

This wine is very inexpensive. With that being said it is a lot better than a lot of other wines that sell for more. It's not too oak-ey and not too full bodied. It is a great wine for the price. We regularlybuy this for $6.00.
A bottle is only $3.99, so it is no bad for daily wine.

Champagne Moutard is a traditional family run business situated in the picturesque village of Buxeuil, France. The vineyards are located in the southern part of Champagne, on the sunny slopes of the Cotes des Bar. Very old cellar books relate their activity as vine growers back to the 17th century. Region: France / Champagne / Eau de Vie Maker : Francois Moutard Notes : Abundance of ripe dark fruit on the nose with intense expressions of prunes on the palate, with a rich, long aftertaste. Gato Negro Chardonnay is pale yellow in color. The wine has aromas of fresh fruit, specifically bananas and good intensity. On the palate it is fruity, very ripe, good acidity, lending it a fresh pleasant finish.
Loire, FranceDomaine des Vieux Pruniers Sancerre is a white wine gem of 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley of France. Domaine des Vieux Pruniers is situated a mere 2.5 miles from Sancerre, in the village of Bu, known for its steep, amphitheater-like vineyards, where some of the hillsides approach 65 gradients, and prized for its limestone-rich soils. Christian Thirot-Fournier and his wife tend to their roughly 10 hectares of vines, including 7 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc planted to chalky limestone soils. Together they raise the wine from start to finish, from growing the grapes to bottling the wines. They are moving toward a more "sustainable" viticulture regime, and no herbicides are used for the majority of their parcels. Vieux Pruniers Sancerre is a pale yellow in color with crisp acidity. Medium in body, it is a clean, minerally, citrusy, racy style of Sancerre, with aromas of citrus, floral notes and stone. It offers clean flavors of lime, nectarine, orange zest, pear and mineral notes. The wine was aged for several months on its fine lees.
