Gaspar Florido Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda Manzanilla Pleamar NV

Member Review by ryanopaz:

Lightly golden in color with a brilliant clarity. The nose is salty with flowers, raw almond, filburt, light wood polish, though I really get a creamy flower like aroma followed by some honeydew. The palate has a high acidty with a very dry but lingering finish. Flavors are a bit austere, and delicate. The flowers show up from nose but I'm left with a raw nut flavor coating my tongue on the finish, and to be specific a flavor of melon, but not the rich flesh rather the hard part closest to the rind. Refreshing and with a hint of flor in the midpalate. I would have to say this is not a beginners sherry but rather one that you might appreciate after you've fallen in love. 3.5/5 [NR]
