Gascon Malbec 2011
Picked up this Malbec on a whim at Sam's Club. Got burned.
Deep red color, dark fruit flavors, nice finish
Not bad. Smooth
Lovely ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, plum, blueberry and a hint of mocha though I find the blueberry predominant. Good tannins and decent acidity. A very good wine for the price. I believe I picked this up for around $10.
A classic example of a very well made Malbec. Loads of fruit and spice make up this medium-bodied sipper. I like mine during the late spring and early summer perhaps the first time you've undusted and fired up the grill. Enjoy with some crazy chimichurri steaks and don't forget the garlic and peppers!
Medium body, earth and red berries with pepper, but a rather short finish.
Gascon Malbec is a great wine for a great price. It's a staple in our house -- goes well with just about anything.

Mossy, earthy, warm aromas of ripe black fruits are perfumed and oaky. Sticking to that theme, this is creamy on the palate, with flavors of coconut, vanilla and wild berries. A mellow, soft finish is oaky and almost syrupy.
Good medium ruby. Lovely mineral lift to the aromas of crushed blackberry, bitter chocolate and violet. Juicy, brisk and vinous; tightly wound today but with no rough edges to its chewy black fruit flavors. Finishes firm and long, with suave tannins and the structure to reward aging.
A pure expression of the fruit, Don Miguel Gascon Malbec is a full bodied wine with a deep violet color, showcasing flavors and aromas of blackberry, blueberry, plum, dark cherry, and a hint of mocha. The wine is elegant and rich in texture, with plush, round tannins and finely integrated oak characteristics. Final flavors of black spice and maple combine to create a long, velvety finish.
Spice and floral notes accent the fresh crushed blackberry, black plum and cassis notes that lead to a savory finish. Drink now.
The 2010 Don Miguel Gascon Malbec delivers plenty of bang for the buck. It was aged for 7 months in French and American oak and offers up a pleasing perfume of cedar, spice box, brier, black cherry, and red licorice. This sets the stage for a medium-bodied, savory, nicely proportioned Malbec with excellent depth and length. This tasty effort is an excellent value meant for drinking over the next 3–4 years.
